Effective counseling requires a safe, non-judgmental person who can give trained attention to your story. Stories are created with meaning, feelings, beliefs, body responses, family influences, and more attached to them. Exploring these facets of your story brings connections to where you are now and where you want to be into your awareness. Mutually processing these connections lead to varying treatment approaches. Approaches can range from talking to more specific forms like doing EMDR for trauma. Changes may come quickly or evolve more slowly depending on the complexity of your issues. Should you choose me as your counselor, I commit to mutually working together with your story to achieve your desired goals.
